The Pride Center hosts or partners to host various affinity groups for community members to meet and discuss various topics and issues that affect queer and trans student life here at Cal Poly.
This is a dialoguing group for LGBTQ+ students to build community and discuss topics related to queer and trans life at Cal Poly.

This is a weekly LGBTQ+ centered weekly recovery group created by students in recovery to support students affected by or questioning their substance use or addictive behaviors with a focus on improving mental health. This group meets on Fridays from 1-2pm in UU 218.
This is a welcoming and affirming group for anyone who wants to explore faith, gather in community, and learn more about anti-racist, queer, and feminist theology. This is a partnership with the Canterbury Shire campus ministry.

The Pride Center also highlights other groups offered by GALA Central Coast (and its affiliates) that provide support and events serving the LGBTQ+ community in San Luis Obispo.
This is a diverse group with gender identities ranging the full gender spectrum, including trans men, trans women, genderqueer, agender, questioning, crossdressers, and more ranging from high school students to senior citizens. All people who are questioning their gender or sexuality are welcome. Significant others, family, friends, and allies are also welcome. The group meets every Tuesday from 7-9pm at the GALA Center. Trans Central Coast provides a facilitated emotional support group for those between the ages of 11 and 18 who identify as trans, non-binary, and non-conforming, or who may be questioning. It is a safe space to be heard, share your story, and hear stories that may be similar to your own. Members enjoy doing art projects. Stand Out is a California Central Coast parent peer support group, providing a safe and confidential space, without judgemental. The group provides support and information for parents and families of LGBTQ+ youth and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:15-7:45pm at Petra Restaurant (1210 Higuera St., SLO). This book club meets every 2nd Monday of the month from 7pm-9pm at the GALA Center for a discussion of books read and chosen by the group relating to their lives as gay men. All are welcome.
This is a group of SLO County lesbians that meetup for socials and events. Attendees are encouraged to suggest activities for the entire group. This group is for those interested in an eclectic selection of movies with different themes, moods, and topics. All are welcome to get to know each other by watching good movies together. Free coffee, popcorn, and potluck snacks. Nosh and chat at 6:30, film at 7pm every 2nd Friday of the month at the GALA Center.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary, worldwide fellowship of folks from all walks of life who meet together to attain and maintain sobriety. The only requirement for membership in this group is a desire to stop drinking. There are no feeds or dues for A.A. membership. This group meets every Sunday from 7-8pm at the GALA Center.
This group is a safe and affirming place North of the Cuesta Grade for people of all genders and their family and friends to gather and socialize. The group meets on the 4th Saturfay of the month from 6-8pm at the Community Church of Atascadero (5850 Rosario Avenue, Atascadero, CA). This is a youth social group in San Luis Obispo dedicated to creating accessible safe space for youth (ages 14-24). The group meets every Thursday from 6pm - 8pm at the GALA Center.
This group is open to anyone who identifies as or is curious about bisexuality, pansexuality, and more. This group provides space to discuss issues, ideas, and experiences and all are welcome. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 6-8pm at the GALA Center.
This is a social and networking group for people on the Central Coast who are curious about polyamory and/or ethical non-monogamy, identify as polyamorous, and everything in-between. This group explores navigating new relationship structures, their challenges, and is meant to be an open-minded and supportive community to meet other relationship pioneers. The group hosts a Polyamory Potluck on the 1st Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm and a discussion group with a different topic of interest on the 3rd Wednesday from 6:30-9pm at the GALA Center.
The Central Coast Kink Community hosts a fundamental overview of kink, consent, rules, and information to help practitioners be successful and safe. This group is 18+ and meets the 3rd Monday from 6-8pm at the GALA Center.

This discussion group is from those in the Dominant and submissive relationships to discuss their particular needs. This is an 18+ group. Dominants meet in the Hatler Memorial Library and submissives meet in the front room at the GALA Center on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 2-4pm.

This group is focused on advocating for LGBTQ seniors through promoting inclusive environments that are both aware and affirming. This group also focuses on developing intergenerational activities in the LGBTQ+ community. This group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4-6pm at the GALA Center. All are welcome.
