The Pride Center hosts or partners to host various affinity groups for community members to meet and discuss various topics and issues that affect queer and trans student life here at Cal Poly. With the shift to virtual services for Spring 2020 due to COVID-19, we have scaled back some of our offerings.
NOTICE: With all virtual services, the Cross Cultural Centers cannot ensure the privacy of the affinity groups. We are exploring other options for privacy concerns but proceed with caution.
Q Chat Space online discussion groups give you a dedicated space to come together with other youth and discuss topics relevant to your identities and experiences - it’s just online! It is not a forum. It is live and chat-based; there is no video or audio. Everyone is chatting during the same pre-scheduled time.
Go to www.qchatspace.org to check it out and see what groups are available this week.

When you join an online discussion group, a facilitator will greet you when you arrive. There will be some time to informally meet others who are joining the discussion. After introductions and a review of group agreements, there will be open discussion on a designated topic. You are free to share as much or as little as you like. At the end, there will be a closing and some time to chat more informally.
Here are some local things for the rest of this week:
