Creating Opportunities for Representative Engagement
Core is a pre-WOW program rooted in proactively connecting underrepresented students to the resources, community, and connections that will kickstart their leadership journey at Cal Poly instilling confidence in their ability to navigate their Week of Welcome experience with pride.
Students will participate in a series of workshops that will foster a sense of community, introduce students to different leadership opportunities, and engage students with sources of support that will help students thrive as a new Mustang.

Cross Cultural Experience
This Week of Welcome option seeks to form a community for students who identify as a member of an underrepresented group including, but not limited to: various racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, citizenship, sexual orientations, and economic class.
CCE includes alternative experiences for WOWies in addition to The Week such as: fun activities, workshops, discussions, and a multicultural resource fair that centers the voices of underrepresented students at Cal Poly and ensures that as a CCE participant you are connecting to the resources and communities that will help you be a successful Mustang!
