Student Diversity & Belonging is expanding its centers to include a Native American and Indigenous Cultural Center as a crucial step in efforts to increase holistic support for our Native and Indigenous community. The opening of the yakʔitʸutʸu residential community in 2018 elevated a collective vision of honoring our relationship to indigenous land, ensuring Native and Indigenous students thrive, and that Native and Indigenous culture is celebrated. The Native American & Indigenous Cultural Center will continue to build upon that vision and be a key partner within Student Diversity & Belonging of contributing to a Cal Poly experience rooted in equity & justice.
